HCN Lewis Structure

The Lewis dot structure for HCN is, as pictured, hydrogen with a single bond to carbon (carbon is in the center), nitrogen is triple bonded to the carbon atom. In addition to the triple bond, nitrogen has a lone pair of electrons.

In HCN, both carbon and nitrogen have a full octet and hydrogen has a duet.
